The new year in Florence, Italy brings an amazing new Opera Theatre: Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
The facade of this modern Italian landmark is clad in
KERLITE thin porcelain tile:
During the production process of Cotto d'Este Laminated Stoneware, a unique digital printing system is employed to create Kerlite Auditorium, a light laminated stoneware with exceptional technical and aesthetic characteristics: acid-resistant and weatherproof, resistant, easy to install, cut and drill. With a thickness of only 3.5 mm and special "customised" sizes, such as the 50x150 cm, as well as the 28 different designs, Kerlite harmoniously blends into the surrounding environment.
The intrinsic properties of Kerlite make it the most eco-compatible product currently available on the market. Its environmental impact has been reduced to a minimum and its performance cannot be equalled by any natural stone.
Considered "a true rebirth of the theatre", this new space is re-introducing "those functions of the theatre as it was envisioned by the ancient Greeks.....most used locale in the city for entertainment, education, art, music and drama."

To celebrate the Christmas season, Horizon enjoyed a wonderful Italian meal at
