As we head to the
Coverings Show in Orlando this week, I thought the timing couldn't be better to showcase some of the new introductions Horizon chose at Cersaie in Bologna, Italy 2011.
We also jumped into
Olioboard. What do you think?
You can use our tiles as finishes in your design boards!
This weekend brings the
Celebration of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas! After almost 5 years of construction, the entire weekend is filled with events surrounding the opening of the bridge, which is scheduled for March 29th.
The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is the first vehicular bridge designed by Spanish architect
Santiago Calatrava in the United States.
Calatrava, an internationally renowned designer, has 42 bridges across the globe including the Quarto Ponte Sul Canal Grande in Venice and Ciudad de Las Artes and de Las Ciencias in Valencia (shown below)
The city is buzzing with excitement surrounding this new Dallas landmark! While this has nothing to do with tile, Horizon's showroom in the
Dallas Design District is so close in proximity to the bridge, we can't help but be caught up in the fun. Does it count if the steel for this amazing structure was fabricated in Italy?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Dallas is now home to what D Magazine is calling
SPCA TEXAS' new "Animal Kingdom" located
at 2400 Lonestar Drive in west Dallas.
After 40 years, SPCA has moved into a new 70,000 SF complex, open January 2012. Offering low cost pet check ups, treatment and surgery as well as a new animal adoption center.
Dallas based
Hinojosa Architecture and Interiors is the creative force behind the innovative concept of "jewel boxes" as dog enclosures, expanding the size of each enclosure for the comfort of each animal.
What a difference from animal shelters of our past! This beautiful space is not only full of innovative solutions for technicians, but also offers a comfortable space for families in search of their new pet.
Horizon Tile is proud to be a part of this spectacular project. Click
